“ Oysters were flavorful, fresh and nice. Serve really showed knowledge and was great at giving recommendations. Arugula salad had just the right sear on the chicken. The mousse tart was pretty good with an espresso (decaf beans were a little acidic with some saltiness at the end). I would come back to try the brunch menu. ”
“ BLOWN AWAY!! It’s so rare to find exceptional customer service lately, and Mikayla delivered on that this morning. My husband and I live in Mansfield, about 35 min away. We visited the restaurant a few weeks back and really enjoyed it, and noted they carried one of our favorite treats in their bakery: a chocolate almond croissant. It’s something we had on a visit to Brooklyn and loved it, and haven’t been able to find one local to us since. This morning he decided to drive up to grab some, but unfortunately there was a power outage that shut down the entire street and Steel and Rye wasn’t able to bake their entire normal menu. When he shared this with Mikayla, she felt so bad, went to a manager, and put together this most generous assortment of pastries (on the house), apologized for the inconvenience, and said that she hoped we’d be back. Mikayla: those service skills will serve you your entire life, as you have something that so many don’t. You care tremendously about the guest experience, and you just solidified the fact that we will be returning customers for years to come. Thank you Mikayla, and thank you to Steel & Rye! ”
“ What a great place to eat! Great breakfast and lunch choices and a wonderful bakery. Lots of outdoor seating too for good weather dining and if you have pets. Portions were plentiful so I took home half of my delicious falafel sandwich. My friend’s plate had loads of bacon and a large portion of eggs and potatoes. Love it! ”
“ I loved the bar the and vibes. I had the octopus as an appetizer and a pizza as the main course. My friends had a burger and a pasta dish. The octopus was great but the pizza didn't blow me away. I'd like to come back and try something different. The whole restaurant is very nicely furnished and service was great. ”
“ Really impressive range: fresh baked breads, expansive wine and spirits, coffee and tea (I had MEM Matcha with pistachio milk), and everything from pizza, to wings, to salads, to burgers. The decor is fabulous and there is indoor and outdoor seating. My drink was nearly $8, so def not a “come here for your morning commute” place, but I would absolutely come for dinner again. The foccoccia pizza with cloves of garlic in the crust was phenomenal. There is one handicapped spot. Sadly the others are covered with the outdoor seating, but I was the only one who needed the spot so lucky me! ”
